Hi! I'm Marla, the designer and creator of Goddess Designs by Marla. When I was a small child,
I was fascinated with beautiful stones - particularly colorful, polished gemstones. I loved the way they felt between my fingers. To this day, I remain enthralled.

I love creating beautiful things. A couple of years ago,
I began making my own jewelry using gemstones crocheted on fine wire. When people started asking where I had purchased my necklaces, I realized that my dream of starting my own business creating jewelry for others just might be a possibility. After viewing "The Secret" about a year ago, I decided to make my dream come true. Thus was born Goddess Designs by Marla.

KAREN HILL TRIBE SILVER

In our mission to help those who are striving to improve their lives, we are truly excited to feature in some of our pieces genuine Karen Hill Tribe Silver from Thailand.  Each piece of Thai Karen Hill Tribe Silver is handcrafted of 95-99% pure silver (sterling is 92.5% silver).

The Karen is one of the nomadic Hill Tribes who settled in Thailand—many of them grew opium for income.  In 1969, Thailand's leadership implemented The Royal Project—new crops that could replace the opium were encouraged, with an emphasis on conservation and on self sufficiency for the Hill Tribes.

As part of the Royal Project, some of the Karen Hill Tribe peoples were taught silversmithing techniques. The beautiful silver pieces they create today are the results of that long-ago training.

We are honored to support the work of the Karen Hill Tribe.

Goddess Designs by Marla will donate 10% of all sales to no-kill animal shelters in the Denver, Colorado metro area and to charities that work to preserve our beautiful oceans and their inhabitants.
